Terms, licence & refunds
These terms cover the escape room files sold on this site. Buying a room means you accept them. If anything here isn't clear, email me before you buy.
What you're buying
A digital download: one HTML file per room, which runs in a web browser on your own device. There is no physical product and nothing is posted to you. You need a computer with an up-to-date browser (Chrome or Edge recommended) and, ideally, sound.
Your licence
You may:
- Play the rooms as many times as you like, forever.
- Play them with friends, family, colleagues or guests, at home or at work.
- Print the evidence packs as often as you need for your own games.
- Keep a personal backup copy of the file.
You may not:
- Share, upload, resell or give away the file or the printed packs.
- Charge people admission to play them, or use them as a paid attraction, without a commercial licence.
- Republish the puzzles, documents or artwork as your own work.
Running games for schools, clubs, libraries, companies or escape-room venues needs a separate commercial licence. It's inexpensive — just ask.
Refunds
Because this is a digital download, you get access immediately and the usual 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases no longer applies once the download has started. You'll be asked to agree to that at checkout.
That said: if a room won't run on your machine, or it isn't what the site described, email me within 14 days of buying and I'll refund you in full. I'd rather have a happy customer than £6.
Delivery
You'll get a download link on screen and by email as soon as payment clears. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and then email me and I'll send the files directly.
Updates
If I fix or improve a room you've bought, you get the updated version at no extra cost through your original download link.
What I can't promise
The rooms are entertainment. They're supplied as they are, and I can't guarantee they'll run on every device or browser, or that a particular group will enjoy or finish them. I'm not liable for anything beyond the amount you paid.
Privacy
This site doesn't set cookies, run analytics or track you. The games run entirely on your own machine and send nothing anywhere: no scores, no answers, no data. Hall-of-fame times are stored only in your own browser. If you buy a room, the payment provider handles your details under their own privacy policy, and I'll only see what's needed to send you the file and handle refunds.
